{Melissa & Darryn} 23.02.2018

Okay, well where do I start about this wedding? This wedding was so special to me for a number of reasons... I have known Melissa for a number of years, I knew of her in high school back in the day but we hung around different social groups, and never really had a chance to meet properly.

A few years later as fate would have it Mel started working at the same place as me, I recognised her right away and it didn't take long before we were spending time together after work and on weekends and we build a solid friendship.

We ended up working together at 2 different jobs and she was there throughout my whole leap in photography. Always supporting me and sending me new clients! I started photographing her family on various occasions, and her sisters wedding was one of the first weddings I ever captured!

Fast forward a few years I was getting married and moving to Canada, and Mel never stop staying in touch, she was always sending me messages and asking how I was (and telling me to come back to Australia). You know someone is a true friend when they still make the effort to keep in touch when you are thousands of miles away.

Mel went through a few hard times when I left, and I was sad I wasn't there for her at the time...but then one day she met Darryn! Within a short amount of time it was clear how much he meant to her and how much he cared for her. They soon welcomed their beautiful baby girl Jaida-Rose and a few months later Darryn proposed! I was so happy for her and even more excited when Mel asked me if I would be willing to travel from Canada to capture her wedding, because she didn't want anyone else to do it! Of course I said yes and the countdown began!

I can't tell you how amazing it was to be back in Australia and getting the opportunity to witness and photograph the wedding of such a special friend.

Melissa and Darryn said "I do" in front of their closest friends and family on the 23rd of February 2018.

The Wedding was absolutely perfect, in true Melissa style she went above and beyond with the styling and organisation of the day. Every detail was carefully planned and executed brilliantly to ensure all their guests had a memorable time.

They got married surrounded by gorgeous scenery on a private property in South East, Victoria.

Thank You both for letting me capture your Wedding Day. It was an absolute honour and I loved every minute of it.
